A mammoth CAMPAIGN

Borneo Orangutan Survival UK (BOS)

You write a line as part of a much longer script.

Your ECD abruptly silences you as you’re reading the script aloud in your best script voice and says, “Stop! Go back one line. That’s it”. Now you’ve got a headline, and a powerful idea for the visual.

This is how our campaign for BOS came together at Truant London. A simple observation about the scale of the problem, and the historical echoes of extinct species, gave us an unforgettable image that ran across more than 100 billboards during National Wildlife Week 2025.

A SPECIES ON THE BRINK

Within the last 75 years, over 80% of the world’s orangutans have been lost through hunting, illegal trade and habitat destruction. That’s an estimated 3,000 orangutans every year. If something doesn’t change, these amazing animals will soon join the woolly mammoth in the museum.

Running across OOH, print and digital formats around the country, this was our attempt to awaken UK citizens to the urgency of the situation.

BOS is dedicated to the conservation of critically endangered Bornean orangutans, their rainforest habitats and the local indigenous communities that surround them. Support the mission.
